How I teach 我的课
My lessons don't run on rote memorisation. I use real-life examples and throw in a joke here and there, so you're learning in a relaxed atmosphere instead of reciting lists.
Language isn't only memory — it's understanding and use. So the lessons are interactive and practical, built to get you speaking with confidence rather than collecting vocabulary you never say out loud.
Background 我的背景
- HSK 5 and HSKK Advanced — solid listening, speaking, reading and writing, tested rather than claimed.
- Beijing Language University — where I'm studying Chinese language and culture now.
- Four years teaching English to Chinese children, so I'm used to learners of very different ages and starting points.
- Chinese, English and Filipino — and I'm still learning languages myself, so I know exactly where it gets hard.
Off the clock: Muay Thai, swimming, skiing and shooting. Staying active is where the energy and the patience for teaching come from.
Why this site exists 为什么做这个站
Textbooks hand you word lists. Conversation gives you speed. What's missing in between is reading you can actually finish — short, graded, and pitched at the level you're on right now.
