学做中国菜 Learning to Cook Chinese Food

我wǒ很hěn喜欢xǐhuan吃chī中国菜Zhōngguó cài，一直yìzhí想xiǎng学xué怎么zěnme做zuò。

I love eating Chinese food and have always wanted to learn how to cook it.

上个周末shàng ge zhōumò，中国Zhōngguó朋友péngyou请qǐng我wǒ去qù她tā家jiā，教jiāo我wǒ做zuò西红柿xīhóngshì炒chǎo鸡蛋jīdàn。

Last weekend, my Chinese friend invited me to her home and taught me to make tomato and egg stir-fry.

我们wǒmen先xiān去qù超市chāoshì买mǎi了le鸡蛋jīdàn和hé西红柿xīhóngshì。

First we went to the supermarket and bought eggs and tomatoes.

朋友péngyou说shuō：“这个zhège菜cài很hěn容易róngyì，但是dànshì别bié忘wàng了le放fàng盐yán。”

My friend said, "This dish is easy, but don't forget to add the salt."

我wǒ第一次dì yī cì做zuò的de菜cài太tài咸xián了le，朋友péngyou吃chī了le一口yì kǒu就jiù笑xiào了le。

The first dish I made was too salty; my friend took one bite and laughed.

第二次dì èr cì我wǒ放fàng的de盐yán少shǎo了le一些yìxiē，做zuò得de比bǐ第一次dì yī cì好hǎo多了duō le。

The second time I used a little less salt, and it turned out much better than the first.

晚上wǎnshang我们wǒmen一边yìbiān吃饭chīfàn，一边yìbiān聊天liáotiān，时间shíjiān过guò得de真zhēn快kuài。

That evening we ate and chatted at the same time — the time flew by.

现在xiànzài我wǒ会huì做zuò这个zhège菜cài了le，下个星期xià ge xīngqī我wǒ想xiǎng做zuò给gěi妈妈māma吃chī。

Now I can make this dish, and next week I want to cook it for my mom.
