地铁真方便 The Subway Is So Convenient

以前yǐqián我wǒ坐zuò公共汽车gōnggòng qìchē上班shàngbān，路上lùshang车chē很hěn多duō，常常chángcháng迟到chídào。

I used to take the bus to work; the roads were full of cars and I was often late.

同事tóngshì问wèn我wǒ：“你nǐ为什么wèi shénme不bú坐zuò地铁dìtiě呢ne？”

A coworker asked me, "Why don't you take the subway?"

我wǒ试shì了le一次yí cì，发现fāxiàn地铁dìtiě又yòu快kuài又yòu便宜piányi。

I tried it once and found the subway is both fast and cheap.

从cóng家jiā到dào公司gōngsī只zhǐ要yào二十分钟èrshí fēnzhōng，比bǐ公共汽车gōnggòng qìchē快kuài多了duō le。

From home to the office takes only twenty minutes — much faster than the bus.

上个星期shàng ge xīngqī下xià大雨dàyǔ，路上lùshang的de汽车qìchē走zǒu得de特别tèbié慢màn，但是dànshì地铁dìtiě还是háishi很hěn快kuài。

Last week it rained hard and the cars on the road moved especially slowly, but the subway was still fast.

现在xiànzài我wǒ每天měi tiān坐zuò地铁dìtiě上班shàngbān，再也zài yě没有méiyǒu迟到chídào过guo，地铁dìtiě真zhēn方便fāngbiàn！

Now I take the subway to work every day and haven't been late once — the subway is so convenient!
