Grammar note 语法点

有 — to have

有 means 'to have' or 'there is'. Its negative is 没有, never 不有.

我有一些钱。 — I have some money.
Measure words 本 and 块

Chinese counts nouns with a measure word: 一本书 (one book), 二十块钱 (twenty yuan). 一 is read yì before a third-tone syllable like běn.

一本书二十块钱。 — One book costs twenty yuan.
了 at the end — a new situation

Sentence-final 了 says something has changed: 不多了 = there isn't much left now, though there was before.

现在我的钱不多了。 — Now I don't have much money left.
