下午xiàwǔ我wǒ去qù商店shāngdiàn买mǎi东西dōngxi。

In the afternoon I go to the store to buy something.

我wǒ想xiǎng买mǎi一个yí ge杯子bēizi。

I want to buy a cup.

这个zhège杯子bēizi很hěn漂亮piàoliang，多少duōshao钱qián？

This cup is very pretty — how much is it?

商店shāngdiàn的de人rén说shuō：“三十八sānshíbā块kuài。”
