早上zǎoshang我wǒ在zài睡觉shuìjiào，妈妈māma叫jiào我wǒ。

In the morning I am sleeping, and Mom calls me.

我wǒ说shuō：“现在xiànzài几jǐ点diǎn了le？”

I say, "What time is it now?"

妈妈māma说shuō：“八bā点diǎn了le！你nǐ九jiǔ点diǎn去qù工作gōngzuò！”

Mom says, "It's eight o'clock! You go to work at nine!"

我wǒ没有méiyǒu吃饭chī fàn，喝hē了le一点儿yìdiǎnr水shuǐ。

I don't eat breakfast — I just drink a little water.

八bā点diǎn四十sìshí分fēn我wǒ坐zuò出租车chūzūchē去qù工作gōngzuò。

At 8:40 I take a taxi to work.
