怕 + noun(to be afraid of something)
怕 followed directly by a noun says you're afraid of that thing.
我怕狗。— I'm afraid of dogs.
别 + verb(don't...)
别 before a verb tells someone not to do something; 别怕 means "don't be afraid."
别怕,这只小狗认识我。— Don't be afraid, this dog knows me.
就 + adjective(a quick or direct reaction)
就 right before an adjective shows something happens right away, as a direct result.
我看见狗,就很着急。— As soon as I see a dog, I get nervous right away.
