This pair links a reason and its result. Unlike English, Chinese often uses both words together, e.g. 因为下雨,所以我不去.

verb + 得 + adjective
得 after a verb introduces a comment on how the action is done, e.g. 说得很快 (speaks fast), 学得很好 (has learned well).

完 after a verb shows the action is completed, e.g. 吃完 (finish eating), 做完 (finish doing).
