半年bàn nián前qián，我wǒ搬bān到dào了le一个yí ge新xīn的de地方dìfang住zhù。

Half a year ago, I moved to a new place.

那时候nà shíhou我wǒ谁shéi都dōu不bú认识rènshi，每天měi tiān下班xiàbān回家huíjiā，房子fángzi里lǐ安静ānjìng得de很hěn。

Back then I didn't know anyone; every day after work I came home to a very quiet house.

我wǒ的de邻居línjū是shì一位yí wèi六十多岁liùshí duō suì的de阿姨āyí，她tā每天měi tiān早上zǎoshang都dōu在zài门口ménkǒu锻炼duànliàn身体shēntǐ。

My neighbor is an auntie in her sixties who exercises by the entrance every morning.

有一天yǒu yì tiān，她tā给gěi我wǒ送来sòng lái一碗yì wǎn热rè面条miàntiáo，说shuō：“一个人yí ge rén住zhù，也yě要yào好好hǎohǎo吃饭chīfàn。”

One day she brought me a bowl of hot noodles and said: "Even living alone, you should still eat properly."

周末zhōumò的时候de shíhou，我wǒ帮bāng她tā把bǎ重zhòng的de东西dōngxi搬bān上shàng楼lóu。

On weekends, I help her carry heavy things upstairs.

现在xiànzài我们wǒmen常常chángcháng一起yìqǐ喝茶hē chá、聊天liáotiān。

Now we often drink tea and chat together.

妈妈māma问wèn我wǒ一个人yí ge rén住zhù习不习惯xí bu xíguàn，我wǒ说shuō：“放心fàngxīn吧ba，我wǒ有yǒu一个yí ge像xiàng家人jiārén一样yíyàng的de邻居línjū。”

When my mom asked whether I was used to living alone, I said: "Don't worry — I have a neighbor who is just like family."
