停一下 Stop Here in Chinese

我wǒ要yào去qù朋友péngyou的de公司gōngsī，可是kěshì不bù知道zhīdào怎么zěnme走zǒu，就jiù打车dǎchē去qù了le。

I needed to go to my friend's company, but I didn't know the way, so I took a taxi.

出租车chūzūchē开kāi了le二十èrshí分钟fēnzhōng，前面qiánmian的de车chē突然tūrán多duō了le，车chē走zǒu得de很hěn慢màn。

The taxi had been driving for twenty minutes when the traffic ahead suddenly got heavy, and the car moved very slowly.

我wǒ看kàn了le看kàn时间shíjiān，怕pà迟到chídào，就jiù跟gēn司机sījī说shuō：“师傅shīfu，前面qiánmian帮bāng我wǒ停tíng一下yíxià。”

I checked the time, and worried I'd be late, I said to the driver: "Excuse me, please pull over up ahead."

司机sījī说shuō：“好hǎo，是shì这儿zhèr吗ma？”

The driver said: "OK, is it here?"

我wǒ说shuō：“再zài往wǎng前qián一点儿yìdiǎnr，就jiù停tíng这儿zhèr吧ba，我wǒ自己zìjǐ走zǒu过去guòqù。”

I said: "A little further, just stop here — I'll walk the rest of the way myself."

车chē停tíng下xià以后yǐhòu，我wǒ给gěi了le司机sījī钱qián，说shuō了le谢谢xièxie，就jiù下车xiàchē了le。

After the car stopped, I gave the driver money, said thank you, and got out.

我wǒ走zǒu了le两liǎng分钟fēnzhōng就jiù到dào了le公司gōngsī，那nà辆liàng出租车chūzūchē还hái在zài后面hòumian呢ne。

I walked for two minutes and reached the company — that taxi was still behind me.
