过去guòqù几十jǐshí年nián，全球化quánqiúhuà曾céng被bèi视为shìwéi不可逆转bù kě nìzhuǎn的de历史lìshǐ潮流cháoliú。

For the past several decades, globalization was regarded as an irreversible tide of history.

商品shāngpǐn、资本zīběn与yǔ人才réncái跨越kuàyuè国界guójiè自由zìyóu流动liúdòng，世界shìjiè仿佛fǎngfú变成biànchéng了le一个yí gè“地球村dìqiúcūn”。

Goods, capital, and talent flowed freely across borders, as if the world had become a 'global village.'

然而rán'ér，近年来jìnnián lái贸易màoyì保护主义bǎohù zhǔyì抬头táitóu，不少bù shǎo国家guójiā纷纷fēnfēn筑起zhùqǐ关税guānshuì壁垒bìlěi。

In recent years, however, trade protectionism has reared its head, and quite a few countries have built tariff barriers one after another.

疫情yìqíng的de冲击chōngjī更gèng让ràng各国gè guó意识到yìshí dào，过度guòdù依赖yīlài全球quánqiú供应链gōngyìngliàn潜藏qiáncáng着zhe巨大jùdà风险fēngxiǎn。

The shock of the pandemic further made countries realize that over-reliance on global supply chains harbors enormous risks.

有人yǒu rén因此yīncǐ断言duànyán，全球化quánqiúhuà已经yǐjīng走到zǒu dào尽头jìntóu。

Some people therefore assert that globalization has reached its end.

依我看yī wǒ kàn，这种zhè zhǒng说法shuōfa未免wèimiǎn言过其实yán guò qí shí。

In my view, this claim is rather an exaggeration.

退潮tuìcháo的de只是zhǐshì旧jiù模式móshì，人类rénlèi在zài气候变化qìhòu biànhuà等děng共同gòngtóng挑战tiǎozhàn面前miànqián，合作hézuò的de必要性bìyàoxìng有增无减yǒu zēng wú jiǎn。

What is receding is only the old model; in the face of shared challenges such as climate change, the necessity of cooperation is only increasing.

全球化quánqiúhuà不会bú huì消亡xiāowáng，而是érshì在zài曲折qūzhé中zhōng寻找xúnzhǎo新xīn的de平衡pínghéng。

Globalization will not die out; rather, it is seeking a new balance amid twists and turns.

面对miànduì退潮tuìcháo的de浪花lànghuā，我们wǒmen是shì选择xuǎnzé筑墙zhù qiáng，还是háishi选择xuǎnzé造桥zào qiáo？
