寄快递 Sending a Package in Chinese

我wǒ买mǎi了le一yì本běn书shū给gěi妈妈māma，我wǒ想xiǎng寄jì快递kuàidì给gěi她tā。

I bought a book for my mom, and I want to send it to her by courier.

快递公司kuàidì gōngsī在zài超市chāoshì旁边pángbiān，离lí我wǒ家jiā不bù太tài远yuǎn。

The delivery company is next to the supermarket, not too far from my home.

工作人员gōngzuò rényuán问wèn我wǒ：“您nín要yào寄jì到dào哪儿nǎr？”

The staff member asked me: "Where would you like to send it to?"

我wǒ说shuō：“寄jì到dào北京Běijīng，我wǒ妈妈māma住zhù在zài那儿nàr。”

I said: "Send it to Beijing — my mom lives there."

她tā说shuō因为yīnwèi东西dōngxi不bù重zhòng，所以suǒyǐ只zhǐ要yào二十èrshí块kuài钱qián。

She said because the item isn't heavy, it only costs twenty kuai.

我wǒ付fù了le钱qián，工作人员gōngzuò rényuán给gěi了le我wǒ一yì张zhāng单子dānzi。

I paid, and the staff member gave me a receipt slip.

她tā说shuō三sān天tiān以后yǐhòu，妈妈māma就jiù能néng收到shōudào这zhè个gè包裹bāoguǒ了le。

She said in three days my mom would be able to receive the package.
