Grammar note 语法点

可以...吗?(May I...?)

可以 + verb + 吗 is the everyday way to ask for permission to do something.

我可以试一下吗?— Can I try it on?
有点儿 + adjective (a bit...)

有点儿 goes right before an adjective to soften a complaint, showing something is a little more than you'd like.

觉得有点儿大。— Felt it was a bit too big.
不 A 也不 B (neither A nor B)

Repeating 不 before two opposite adjectives says something lands right in the middle — not too much of either.

不大也不小,很合适。— Not too big or too small — it fit just right.
