面试 The Job Interview — HSK 3 Reading

上个shàng ge星期三xīngqīsān，我wǒ去qù一家yì jiā公司gōngsī面试miànshì。

Last Wednesday I went to a company for a job interview.

前qián一天yì tiān晚上wǎnshang，我wǒ准备zhǔnbèi了le很多hěn duō问题wèntí，很hěn晚wǎn才cái睡觉shuìjiào。

The evening before, I prepared a lot of questions and didn't go to sleep until very late.

早上zǎoshang我wǒ起qǐ得de很hěn早zǎo，因为yīnwèi我wǒ不bù想xiǎng迟到chídào。

In the morning I got up very early, because I didn't want to be late.

我wǒ穿chuān了le一件yí jiàn白bái衬衫chènshān，希望xīwàng经理jīnglǐ觉得juéde我wǒ很hěn认真rènzhēn。

I wore a white shirt, hoping the manager would think I was serious.

经理jīnglǐ问wèn我wǒ：“你nǐ为什么wèishénme想xiǎng来lái我们wǒmen公司gōngsī工作gōngzuò？”

The manager asked me: "Why do you want to come work at our company?"

我wǒ有点儿yǒudiǎnr紧张jǐnzhāng，但是dànshì我wǒ认真rènzhēn地de回答huídá了le每个měi ge问题wèntí。

I was a little nervous, but I answered every question carefully.

面试miànshì结束jiéshù的时候de shíhou，经理jīnglǐ笑着xiàozhe说shuō：“不错búcuò，回家huíjiā等děng我们wǒmen的de电话diànhuà吧ba。”

When the interview ended, the manager said with a smile: "Not bad. Go home and wait for our call."

昨天zuótiān他们tāmen真的zhēn de打dǎ电话diànhuà来lái了le，下个月xià ge yuè我wǒ就要jiù yào上班shàngbān了le！

Yesterday they really did call — next month I'll be starting work!
