Last Wednesday I went to a company for a job interview.
前一天晚上,我准备了很多问题,很晚才睡觉。
The evening before, I prepared a lot of questions and didn't go to sleep until very late.
早上我起得很早,因为我不想迟到。
In the morning I got up very early, because I didn't want to be late.
我穿了一件白衬衫,希望经理觉得我很认真。
I wore a white shirt, hoping the manager would think I was serious.
经理问我:“你为什么想来我们公司工作?”
The manager asked me: "Why do you want to come work at our company?"
我有点儿紧张,但是我认真地回答了每个问题。
I was a little nervous, but I answered every question carefully.
面试结束的时候,经理笑着说:“不错,回家等我们的电话吧。”
When the interview ended, the manager said with a smile: "Not bad. Go home and wait for our call."
昨天他们真的打电话来了,下个月我就要上班了!

地 (adverbial marker)
Adjective + 地 + verb turns the adjective into an adverb describing how the action is done: 认真地回答 (answer seriously), 慢慢地走 (walk slowly).
我认真地回答了每个问题。— I answered every question carefully.
就要…了 (about to)
就要 + verb + 了 means something is going to happen soon, often with a time word: 下个月我就要上班了。
火车就要开了。— The train is about to leave.
