What is the difference between 预订 and 预定?
Both are pronounced yùdìng. 预订 means to book or order something in advance, so it is held for you: a hotel room, a table, tickets, a cake. 预定 means to fix or schedule something in advance: a plan, a date, a meeting time. Rule of thumb: if you are reserving a thing or a service, write 预订; if you are setting a time or a plan, write 预定.
