我wǒ打算dǎsuàn周末zhōumò去qù看kàn一个yí ge朋友péngyou，他tā住zhù在zài别的biéde城市chéngshì。

I was planning to visit a friend over the weekend — he lives in another city.

我wǒ去qù火车站huǒchēzhàn，问wèn服务员fúwùyuán：“坐zuò火车huǒchē去qù，要yào多duō长cháng时间shíjiān？”

I went to the train station and asked the clerk: "How long does it take to get there by train?"

服务员fúwùyuán说shuō：“坐zuò快kuài车chē，两liǎng个gè小时xiǎoshí就jiù到dào了le。”

The clerk said, "On the fast train it's two hours."

我wǒ买mǎi了le一yì张zhāng星期六xīngqīliù早上zǎoshang的de火车huǒchē票piào。

I bought a Saturday morning train ticket.

火车huǒchē开kāi得de很hěn快kuài，我wǒ在zài车chē上shàng看kàn了le一会儿yíhuìr书shū，又yòu看kàn了le一会儿yíhuìr手机shǒujī。

The train went really fast — I read for a while on the train, then looked at my phone for a while.

才cái过guò了le两liǎng个ge小时xiǎoshí，火车huǒchē真的zhēnde到dào了le。

Only two hours had passed, and the train had really arrived.
