He was one of the most famous poets of the Tang dynasty, and people call him the "Immortal Poet".
李白一生写了大约一千首诗，其中很多都和月亮有关。
In his lifetime, Li Bai wrote about one thousand poems, many of which are related to the moon.
一个安静的夜晚，他看着床前的月光，想起了远方的家。
One quiet night, watching the moonlight before his bed, he thought of his faraway home.
于是他写下了著名的《静夜思》：“举头望明月，低头思故乡。”
So he wrote the famous "Quiet Night Thoughts": "Raising my head, I gaze at the bright moon; lowering my head, I think of my hometown."
短短十个字，就把一个人在外地想家的心情写得清清楚楚。
In just ten characters, it captures with perfect clarity the feeling of missing home while far away.
传说李白特别爱喝酒，喝了酒以后，他常常对着月亮举起酒杯，把月亮当成自己的朋友。
Legend says Li Bai especially loved wine; after drinking, he would often raise his cup to the moon and treat it as his own friend.
甚至有人说，他最后是为了抓住水里的月亮，才掉进了河里。
Some even say that in the end, it was while trying to grab hold of the moon in the water that he fell into a river.
一千多年过去了，每当人们抬头看见月亮，还是会想起这位爱月亮的诗人。
More than a thousand years have passed, yet whenever people raise their heads and see the moon, they still think of this poet who loved it.
