爬山 Climbing a Mountain — HSK 3 Reading

星期六xīngqīliù天气tiānqì很hěn好hǎo，我wǒ和hé三个sān ge同事tóngshì一起yìqǐ去qù爬山páshān。

The weather was great on Saturday, so three coworkers and I went mountain climbing.

早上zǎoshang八点bā diǎn，我们wǒmen在zài山shān下xià见面jiànmiàn，每个人měi ge rén都dōu带dài了le水shuǐ和hé面包miànbāo。

At eight in the morning we met at the foot of the mountain, and everyone brought water and bread.

一开始yì kāishǐ我wǒ爬pá得de很hěn快kuài，可是kěshì后来hòulái腿tuǐ越来越yuè lái yuè累lèi。

At first I climbed fast, but later my legs got more and more tired.

同事tóngshì对duì我wǒ说shuō：“别bié着急zháojí，我们wǒmen慢慢mànmàn爬pá。”

A coworker said to me, "Don't rush — let's climb slowly."

中午zhōngwǔ十二点shí'èr diǎn，我们wǒmen终于zhōngyú爬pá到dào了le山顶shāndǐng。

At twelve noon, we finally reached the top of the mountain.

从cóng山shān上shang往wǎng下xià看kàn，城市chéngshì里lǐ的de楼lóu都dōu变biàn得de很hěn小xiǎo，漂亮piàoliang极了jí le。

Looking down from the mountain, the buildings in the city looked tiny — it was incredibly beautiful.

我们wǒmen在zài山顶shāndǐng吃chī了le面包miànbāo，休息xiūxi了le半个bàn ge小时xiǎoshí。

We ate our bread at the top and rested for half an hour.

虽然suīrán回家huíjiā以后yǐhòu腿tuǐ很hěn疼téng，但是dànshì我wǒ还hái想xiǎng下个月xià ge yuè再zài爬pá一次yí cì。

Although my legs ached after I got home, I still want to climb again next month.
